Pentecost Church Women’s Ministry donates to Kumasi Prison

District of the Church of Pentecost has presented items valued at GH¢6,000.00 to the female section of the Kumasi Central Prison. The items included food items, a first aid kit containing assorted drugs, 150 pairs of sandals, soaps, 20 packs of sachet water and 12 packs of non-alcoholic beverages.

US supports blood safety project in Ghana

A blood safety and information (BSIS) system has been launched for the National Blood Service, Ghana (NBSG), in Accra. The electronic information management system will help track blood donor information from the point of donation, through laboratory testing, processing, storage and distribution to health facilities.

Chief Justice’s Mentoring Progamme ends in Accra

The Chief Justice, Mrs Justice Georgina Theodora Wood, officially closed the 10th edition of her annual mentoring programme in Accra last Wednesday. Being her last as Chief Justice, following  her retirement on June 7, 2017, Mrs Justice Wood was honoured by the Kayayei Assocation for her immense contribution towards their uplift on the educational ladder.

Welder jailed 15 years for defiling 13-year-old girl

A 35-year old welder has been jailed 15 years by the Accra Circuit Court for defiling a 13-year-old girl at Pantang, near Accra. The victim became paralysed after the defilement.

GCB Bank holds 23rd AGM

The GCB Bank has declared a dividend per share of 38 Ghana pesewas for the 2016 fiscal year, representing a 15 per cent growth over the 2015 rate of 33 Ghana pesewas.

3 Russian, Ukrainian ‘galamseyers’ dragged to court
