The United States Military in collaboration with its counterparts in the country has presented a set of 40 desks to the L and A Memorial Academy at Gbawe in Accra.

At the presentation ceremony last Wednesday at the school's premises, Major Adam Thomas of the US Army stated that the donation was a call to serve.

He said it was part of their civic duty to put a smile on the faces of the young pupils of the L and A Memorial Academy and noted that the US is committed towards the prosperity of Ghana.

"We also intend to use this to foster cooperation between the two countries and to enhance our unblemished relationship," he stated.

The headmaster of the school, Stephen Donkor, expressed gratitude to the US Army for the donation. According to him, the desks would have a far-reaching effect on the students with respect to providing seats for pupils.
