Induction ceremony

The President of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng, who inducted her into office during a church service, implored Mrs Agyepong to work hard with the staff and partners of the university to improve its fortunes in the midst of the difficult challenges it faces.

He described her “as a partner to PUCG sent by God to help build the university at this time in the life of the university.”
Prof. Obeng told her not to lose heart because God was with her and also assured her of total support from the management and staff of the university.

Responding to her induction, Mrs Agyepong thanked the Almighty God “for His goodness and mercy towards us all, for his providence and unfailing mercies that have made us who we are.”

She started her working life in Ghana with the Sunyani Polytechnic in September 1997, first as a lecturer, then as a Head of Department and at the young age of 31, she became the first female vice principal of the polytechnic.
