1978 Old Toms year group revamps ICT laboratory of alma mater

The 1978 Year Group of St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School (SHS) has given the institution a facelift by revamping the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre to meet contemporary standards and give students an insight in technology.

The project, which marked the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the group, cost about GH¢80,000.

The facelift included the installation of air conditioners (AC), closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, re-roofing of the facility, provision of 21 desktops computers, three laptops, fire extinguishers, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) for the gadgets and many others.

At a ceremony held in Accra to hand over the renovated computer laboratory to the school, the President of the 1978 Year Group, Mr Kofi Ellis, indicated that the gesture was a token of appreciation of the knowledge the school had imparted into them.

“This school was the foundation of our success and who we are today,” he added.
