The Municipal Chief Executive for Agona West, Mrs Justina Marigold Assan, has cut the sod for the construction of a six-unit gated classroom block with ancillary facilities for the Swedru Salvation Army Basic School, in the Central Region.
Five hundred out of the 553 senior high schools (SHS) that failed to submit their returns on the funds released to them under the implementation of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy have so far done so.
The chiefs and people of the Manya and Yilo Krobo traditional areas in the Eastern Region have appealed to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his government not to relocate the proposed Eastern University (to be located at Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality) to another area as a result of a change in government.
