Let brotherly love prevail - Rev Dr Agbeko

CHURCHES in Ho kept vigil to usher in the New Year, with prayers for the nation and vigorous songs and praises sessions.

At the Dela Cathedral of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG) at Ho-Kpodzi the scene was reminiscent of a carnival.

Some members of the congregation followed the service on a giant screen in the forecourt of the chapel which was filled far beyond capacity.

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the church, Rt Rev Dr Lt Col Bliss Divine Agbeko (rtd) called on Ghanaians to  demonstrate gratitude to God for “bringing us this far” as a nation.

He entreated the citizenry to adopt the attitude of God towards one another and be a blessing to all people.

“Let us continue to pray for wisdom for leadership to take make the right decisions for the nation,” Rev Dr Agbeko added.

He said when brotherly love prevailed among the people, then kindness would be also abound to glory of the nation.
