Wesley International wins Koforidua Contest

he Zonal Manageress of the Eastern and Volta Regional offices of the Graphic Communications Group Limited, Mrs Catherine Ablorh, presenting the first prize to Kristabel Adjoe of the Wesley International School.The Wesley International School in Koforidua last week beat four other basic schools in the Eastern Region to emerge first at the ongoing 2013 Junior Graphic Fan Club Spelling Competition.

The school had 69 points to push last year’s regional winner of the Competition, A.E.A Primary School at Akyem Oda, to the second position with 51 points.

The second place was taken by the host, Koforidua-based Nana Kwaku Boateng School, which had 40 points.

The fourth position was taken by the S.O.S International School at Asiakwa with 34 points, while the fifth position went to the 2011 winner of the Competition, El Shaddai Primary School from Suhum with 27 points.

For emerging the best, Wesley International School will face the school that wins the Competition in the Volta Region.

The school was represented by Kristabel Adjoe, Yolanda Kwadey and Eunice Ntim Ohene, each of them took home an encyclopedia, T-shirts, Junior Graphic branded pens and exercise books.

Contestants of the A.E.A School, represented by Adwoa S. Djan, Kwabena A. Attafuah and Augustina A. Owusu, were also given T-shirts, pens, exercise books and story books. The rest of the contestants from the competing schools were also awarded prizes.
