Use your time wisely — Students advised

The President of Meridian Pre-University, Mr Tetteh Nertey, has advised students to value time because students who used their time profitably never missed good opportunities and excelled in whatever they did.

Mr Nertey was speaking at a career guidance conference organised by the Cedar State Group dubbed ‘Career Skate’ for 16 basic schools in Accra at the Odorgonno Senior High School at Awoshie.

He said if students kept postponing their schoolwork for irrelevant things it would not benefit them in future.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Osei Kusi Foundation, Mr Osei Kusi, who was one of the speaker’s at the conference, said students who were fond of giving excuses for every failure never achieved their desired goals.

This is because he said, instead of finding ways to make amends and overcome the setbacks they made excuses. ‘’What students need to do is to focus on their education which is the priority in their lives now,’’ he added.

He advised students to adopt the habit of savings and use the money to buy storybooks to read stressing that; ‘’empty your pockets into your heads by investing in books that are very educative because reading makes a man’’.
