There was wild jubilation when Ms Sandra Esinam pronounced the verdict of the two judges after an entertaining and  brilliant performance by  the seven contestants for the ultimate prize at the National Theatre.

But  for the timely presence of police officers on the stage, the story would have been different  as the crowd rushed onto the stage, seemingly to give Tutu Lapato a kingly ride.

However, the police officials ensured that there was sanity as they cleared the stage for  the winners to receive their prizes and pose for  photographs.

Earlier on, after the first round of the two-round competition, it was clear that Tutu Lapato, who had an amazing crowd support, would be among the winners.

His second appearance with crowd-puller Kwaw Kesse, aka “Abodam”, confirmed his superiority and it was, therefore, not surprising that he was carried shoulder high by Mr Ekow Blankson, the

Brand and Communication Director of TV3 when he stepped up to present the award to him.

For that sterling performance, Tutu Lapato received an educational and fun trip to UK, GH¢4,000.00, a netbook (a miniature laptop), a plaque, a certificate and GH¢2,000.00 worth of Indomie, as well as sponsors’ souvenirs.

For their innovative dancing skills, the judges conferred on S BOYS the second position and for their prize, they took home GH¢3,000.00, a certificate, a plaque and sponsors’ souvenirs.

Gabriel Mensah picked the third place prize for his consistent, exceptional acrobatic display. He received GH¢2,000.00, a certificate, a plaque and sponsors’ souvenirs; while the Rose of Sharon, made up of a drummer and a keyboardist, placed fourth. They received GH¢1,000.00, a plaque, certificate and sponsors’ souvenirs.

For the Producer of the show, Ms Cecilia Asare, the Season Four was unique in the sense that for the first time, a visually impaired contested  on his own merit and moved through the fierce competition to the final day.
