The ceremony, which was on the theme: “Discipline and Hard work; a prerequisite to academic success,” had 55 Kindergarten Two pupils, 45 Class Six pupils and 38 junior high school (JHS) students who wrote this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduating.

The atmosphere was lively as the students entertained their parents and invited guests with songs, choreography, ballet, poetry and memory verse recitals, as well as a fashion show.

The Executive Manager of the school, Mr Angelo Amenuvor, said there were plans to introduce modern learning systems and school management procedures to prepare the students for the information technology age.

He added that the management of the school would as from the next academic year introduce the TLS App that could be downloaded on all android phones to access all the necessary information about the pupils and the school from any location in the world.

“The TLS App comes at a time where mobile friendly technologies have become a rapidly growing tool. It is the first of its kind for a school in Ghana and goes to show the extent we are prepared to go when it comes to providing quality education for our pupils,” he said.

He encouraged all parents to use the App effectively when it is launched.

The Guest Speaker, Mrs Linda Wilson-Andoh, noted that discipline and hard work “go hand in hand and they are the universal key ingredients everyone needs in order to achieve life-long goals.”

She added that “in this era that there are so many distractions, pupils and students need to be very disciplined and focused to excel academically.”

Mrs Wilson-Andoh urged the graduating students, especially those in Class Six and the pre-school, to continue to work hard.

Deserving pupils and members of staff were rewarded with books, certificates and citations.
