Three pupils honoured in Adaklu District

Three pupils from the Adaklu Ahunda Boso Catholic Basic School in the Adaklu District, Volta Region have been honoured for excelling in an inter-school quiz competition.

The programme, which was organised by the Adaklu District Education office, coincided with the 12th edition of the “Midezor” Festival of the people of Adaklu Ahunda-Boso.

Addressing the durbar, the Member of Parliament for the Adaklu Constituency, Mr Kwami Agbodza, commended the pupils for their efforts and said it was a practical testimony to the recent achievement of 100 per cent in the recent Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The worst aggregate in that exam in the district was 15.

Mr Agbodza said education issues were his priority and gave an assurance that he would continue to offer his support to enhance teaching and learning in the district and the entire constituency.

The Chief of the town, Togbe Asamoah IV, said the achievement of the pupils was an acknowledgement of the improvement in teaching and learning processes in the schools in the area and commended teachers for their commitment and dedication to duty.

He said plans were advanced to provide a library and a new kindergarten block for the school to enhance learning.
