The pupils Miss Edith Bishop, Master Eugene Elikem, Miss Ethel Mensah and Master Yusif Munkaila, who were honoured alongside their coach, Mr Clement Opoku, were presented with plaques during the school’s Parent Teacher's Association (PTA) meeting held at the school premises.

Miss Bishop, a JHS pupil, who has won the Greater Accra regional edition of the competition on two occasions, expressed her gratitude to God for bringing her this far, and to the school heads for introducing them to the UCMAS to help sharpen their brains.

Miss Bishop who placed 16th at the national level this year, said the competition was keen, but she took all her rehearsals very seriously and with prayers she was successful.

"I will urge all my mates to take their extra curricula activities seriously and do so with passion," she said.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr Baffour Kyei, congratulated the students for their success in the competition.

The PTA Chairman, Mr Felix Mensah called on parents to make their children a priority, by providing all that they need in order to get the best from them.

The Proprietor of the school, Mr Ben Okoe Shamo, announced that pupils from Classes One to Six who would emerge the best pupils at the end of every academic year would have their textbooks fees paid by the school.
