Similary, the over 500 male students are sleeping in an old and dilapidated community hall built in the 1960s which is not suitable for a dormitory.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr Joseph Yaotse Asam, who expressed concern over the very bad situation the students find themselves during an interview, said the problem must be addressed immediately.

Mr Asam said although the government had intervened and authorised four GETFund projects for the school, only one, a 12-unit classroom block had been completed, adding that   the contractors had abandoned the dinning hall complex and the boys dormitory.  He further said that the girls’ dormitory project had now been re-awarded.

The Headmaster said the delay in undertaking the projects was undermining effective teaching and learning in the school.

Other needs of the school, the headmaster said, are a fence wall round the school to stop members of the public from using the compound as a path and animals straying to the school, as well as the lack of boreholes to serve students since the school has only one borehole

He called on old students of the school to assist to enhance academic work of students.
