Shoes for Doblogonno Community school kids

Some of the elated pupils displaying their shoes.Children of the Doblogonno Community School, an International Needs Ghana (INGH) partner School in the Ga West District of the Greater Accra Region, have received footwear worth over GH¢8000 through a project dubbed shoes for Ghana.

The gesture was spearheaded by Festus Addei, a staff of INGH and his wife Stephanie, who raised funds from friends, family, and the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Canada to make it a reality.

At a short presentation ceremony at the school’s premises, Mrs Stephanie Addei said she and her husband decided to help the children who INGH work with.

“At first , we decided on raising funds to provide shoes for one class, but God had a bigger plan for this project and before we knew it,  funds poured in so we were able to provide shoes for the entire school”, she noted.

Mrs Addie said “people donated because they wanted to share their blessings with the children and also because Jesus commands us to give”.

The school children could not hide their joy when they received the news that every child in the school, which has a student population of 324, would receive footwear. They expressed their appreciation to the couple and asked for God’s blessings for them and the donors.
