The pupils, who were visibly delighted, were mobbed by their friends and relations who witnessed the graduation ceremony.

As part of the ceremony, there were poetry recitals, choreography and sketches by the pupils to exhibit their inherent qualities.

The Guest Speaker, Mrs Lucy Awully Adotey, an educationist, urged parents to prioritise by promptly providing the needs of their children for school.

She also appealed to parents to spend quality time with their children in order to give them a great future.

Mrs Adotey urged parents to frequently check on the activities of their children and engage them in order to help them make decisions that would enable them to become responsible citizens in future.

The Principal of the School, Mr Joseph Saki-Venyo, said graduation ceremonies gave children a sense of accomplishment and assured parents  that their children had gone through some level of development.

He stressed that parents also had a role to play to complement the efforts of teachers in educating children.

“After school, the children are at home so if the parents do not take time to play their role very well, it will hamper the work that we are doing,” Mr Saki-Venyo said.

He entreated parents to regularly check the homework of their children and make sure they study and practise what was taught in school

The Coordinator of the Pre-School Department of QIS, Mrs Grace Apesegah, said as early childhood teachers, they should ensure that a lot of attention was paid to all children to enable them to be interested in all activities in class so that they could build a solid foundation for each child.

The pupils were later presented with certificates and awards.
