Patson ECDC holds 14th graduation

The Bubuashie Circuit Supervisor of the Ghana Education Service, Mr John Nlo, has asked all parents to ensure that their children who are of school age attend school and warned that it is a crime to fail to do so.

Mr Nlo gave the advice at the 14th annual graduation and Speech and Prize-giving Day of the Patson Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC) at North Kaneshie in Accra last week.

He pointed out that it was false to assume that preschool education was not necessary and stressed that sending children to kindergarten was not a waste of resources.

He encouraged parents to ensure that all toddlers attend preschool education because it had a lot of benefits such as improved social skills and aids in the child’s brain development.

This year’s ceremony had 18 pupils passing out of the school with various awards in literacy, numeracy, writing, reading, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), social subjects, dancing, creativity, punctuality, good behaviour and improved performance.

The Proprietress of the centre, Mrs Patience Dickson, said her motivation for providing early childhood education came from her love to teach children at tender ages.
Mrs Dickson further said her aim was to inculcate the love and fear of God into the young ones.

The pupils entertained the guests with nursery rhymes, choreography displays and a sketch on a story about the prodigal son in the Bible, depicting the unflinching love of God towards His children, regardless of their sins.
