The ceremony, which was on the theme: “Mobilising Young Potentials and Great Minds for National Development,” had 11 pupils graduating from the nursery section and 82 from Kindergarten Two.

Both the graduands and continuing pupils charged the atmosphere with various entertaining activities such as choreography, drama, cultural dances and poetry recitals.

The Headmistress of the school, Ms Helen Alema, said enrolment had been dropped from 382 to 272 to conform with the Ghana Education Service directive to reduce the number of children in each class.

Her major concern was the lack of proper supervision of children’s homework and entreated parents to make time to supervise their children’s homework as well as pay their feeding fees on time for the smooth running of the school.”

Ms Alema added that lateness to school was on the rise and was adversely affecting most of the children who missed their early morning recaps.

She however, thanked the Parent Teacher Association for procuring new sets of furniture for all the teachers, the Kindergarten One and Nursery classrooms which the children would start using next academic year.

The Guest Speaker, Mr Gerald Quartey who is the Head of Internal Controls at Heritage Bank, appealed to all stakeholders to ensure that children focused on their studies particularly in the classroom in order to make Ghana great and strong.
