Focus on your dreams
Reigning NBA champion, David West has advised Ghanaian youngsters to be disciplined and focused if they want to achieve their dreams of playing professional basketball at the highest level.

The Golden State Warriors star, in a motivational message to children at a one-day basketball training camp tagged: “All Access Africa Basketball Clinic”, said all dreams are possible with the right level of commitment.
“If you have a dream go for it. If you want to play basketball, you have to work hard and learn lessons and seek to apply lessons each and every single day," West told the delighted youngsters at the University of Ghana basketball court.
Earlier, West and his collaborators including Pheonix Suns' player Anthony "TJ" Warren, a retired Houston Rockets star, Pops Mensah Bonsu and the coach of the University of Ghana basketball team, Meme Falconer, put over 50 children through their paces on the concrete court of the University of Ghana.

The session started with Falconer and West leading the players drawn from basketball clubs across the country in a warm up.
The youngsters were later taken through some physical drills, as well as techniques in shooting and passing.

The Founder and Chairman of Zoetic Energy, Jerome Ringo who partnered West to organise the clinic, said he was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm displayed by the participants of the clinic.
The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Mr Emmanuel Agyarko, who was present during the clinic, encouraged the youngsters to make the best out of the opportunity to interact with professional basketball players.
He also expressed gratitude to the organisers of the clinic for giving the youngsters such a great opportunity.
