She said failure to do so could have dire consequences on the country’s future development.

Madam Braimah, who was speaking at the graduation ceremony of Kindergarten Two and Class Six pupils of the Light of the World School Complex at New Aplaku in Accra, said, ‘it is important to  prepare childern very well to enable them to succeed in future.’

The graduands treated the invited guests and parents to poetry recitals, cultural and choreography performances.

She added that children were great assets to all nations and should be given the needed support because “they are supposed to succeed us— run our homes, communities, districts and the nation at large when we are weak”.

The assistant registrar charged school managers to pay attention to the welfare of the staff because when they were satisfied, they would deliver quality services to positively affect the  customers as well as the organisation.

The pupils, she added, had taken the right step towards a successful future and the betterment of their families and communities.

The headmistress of the school, Mrs Esther Hamilton, said the school would continue to give quality education to pupils to produce the human resource needed for the country.

“We are doing our best for the kids here. We will continue to ensure that they get the best of education,” she said.

She added that the school would continue to instil discipline in the children so that they would grow into responsible adults.
