Otu joins Spanish side Real Zaragoza

Dreams FC defender, John Otu has joined Spanish lower tier side Real Zaragoza after appending his signature to a three year deal.

The former Black Starlets defender completed the move on Monday, August 27 after successfully completing the necessary documentations.

A statement on Dreams FC’s official website read: "We are delighted to announce the transfer of John Otu to Real Zaragoza. Otu, 18, arrived in Zaragoza on Monday having signed a three-year contract.”

The statement continued: “He is the second player of Dreams FC to have joined a Spanish club following Emmanuel Lomotey’s move to Extremadura earlier and now with Villarreal.

Otu was part of the Ghana U-17 team that played at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA U-17 World Cup in Gabon and India respectively.

He played for the club’s junior side, Still Believe FC, before he was promoted to the senior team earlier this year.
