Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey arrived in Villarreal on Tuesday ahead of the new Spanish La Liga season.
The 20-year-old midfielder joins Villarreal on a season-long loan after an impressive campaign with Extremadura UD, a Spanish lower tier side.
He joins the Yellow Submarines for the 2018/2019 La Liga season, with an option for a permanent deal if he impresses his new employers.
Lomotey agreed a loan deal with the club last month but his move to Villarreal was stalled over visa and work permit issues.
However, he joined the club today and is expected to begin training with his team mates in the coming days as the La Liga season begins this weekend.
Villarreal will open the season against Real Sociedad on Saturday at the Estade de la Cerámica.
