Volleyball: El-Wak Wings thrash Immigration 3-0

THE civilian club, El-Wak Wings men’s volleyball team, withstood a determined Immigration side and beat them 3-0 in the sixth week fixture of the ongoing Greater Accra Volleyball League staged at the Lebanon House at Tudu in Accra last Sunday.

Led by master tactician Divine Edem Dotse, Wings dominated their opponents, winning 25-22, 25-16 and 25-23.

However, their ladies counterparts failed to impress as they were downed 0-3 by Immigration Ladies.

In the other week six fixtures, Blue Skies men’s team lost 2-3 to Immanuel Presby Church (IPC), while their women counterparts saw Blue Skies beating IPC 3-0.

Fire Service Ladies beat Osu Youth 3-0, while Osu Youth defeated Fire 3-2 in the men’s division.

This weekend’s fixtures will see Immigration facing off with La Pioneers at the Lebanon House, while Blue Skies take on Osu Youth at Dobro.

At the Prisons Volleyball Court, Prisons will meet Model Club before El-Wak Wings take on Army at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

Ebenezer Golden Hands will meet Police at Sakumono at the Sakumono Catholic Park in Sakumono.
