Minigolf: Nutterz Putterz win Caesars Court League

Nutterz Putterz were crowned champions of the 2019 Caesars Court Minigolf Clubs League after finishing top of the league log with 72 points, beating off strong challenge from Golden Putters after 150 fixtures over five match days which ended last week at Caesars Court, Ridge.

Eric Nyarko, the 2019 African champion, led the dominance by Nutterz Putterz team which included Hicham Chihadeh, Hala Fattal (lowest female score), Kevin Wilson, Abdul Gadiri, Emmanuel Osei and Talal Fattal.

Golden Putters finished in second position with 61 points while KAMA, Power Club and Golden Putters finished in third, fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

After last week Sunday’s match day, ace placer Enock Nyarko of Nutterz Putters won the award for the competition’s Most Hole-in-One (36 hole-in-one), while KAMA’s Reuben Minko won league’s Lowest Score award with 376 points.

The Deputy Director General of the National Sports Authority, Mr Saka Acquaye, presented the winner’s trophy to Nutterz Putterz Club and commended the Ghana Minigolf Federation, organisers of the competition, for the milestones it had chalked up since its inception four years ago.

He noted with pride the eventful calendar by the GMF, which organised two national leagues, the African Minigolf Cup of Nations and ensured that Ghana made a strong appearance at the world stage by participating in the Minigolf World Cup in Sweden and the Minigolf World Championships in China.

The event saw Elwils Minigolf Club also crowned as champions of the world's first ever Wheelchair Minigolf League.
According to the GMF, the 2019 season would be climaxed with the Champion of Champions Knockout Gala on January 11 and 12, 2020.
