The management of the Millennium Marathon Sporting Limited (MMSL) will open a registration desk at the Elite Sports Company at Labone in Accra to enable registered participants to pick up their race packs.

According to the CEO of the MMSL, Mr Ashim Morton, the registration process which was originally scheduled to end on August 20, has been extended to September 20 to enable interested athletes, keep fit clubs and other associations to register for the September 22 event.

Mr Morton mentioned the Accra Sports Stadium, Frankies Hotel in Osu, Decathlon at East Legon and Beautiful Beneath Sports Shop at East Legon as the other registration centres for the event.

“We are expecting several international participants to arrive on September 21 so we decided to change the deadline for the registration so that they can also register.

The first 2,000 participants for the Elite Sports will get free running water bottles, in addition to their race packs,” he added.

The Millennium Marathon is in its fourth year and over 10,000 local and foreign athletes are expected to participate this year.
