With the female hockey clubs taking a break at the weekend, the main focus in the Sapholda Hockey League will be on the male teams on Saturday, especially the clash between Police Men and defending champions, Exchequers, which is likely to keep hockey fans on their feet throughout.

While Police Men were resting last weekend, Exchequers were merciless in their match against  Legonites  and succeeded in mauling them with a cricket score of 7-0.

Unlike Legonites who seems to have become the whipping men in the league, Police men are considered one of the forces in the male division of the Sapholda Hockey League, who at any point in time, can snatch victory from any of the key contenders of the 2019 title chasers.

After their demolishing exercise against Legonites,  Exchequers are likely to step up their game against Police Men on Saturday, especially if Charles Abbiw, Richard Adjei, Alfred Ntiamoah, Isac Cofie and Godsway Balagi play for the Men in Uniform on Saturday.

The combination of Exchequers  top scorer Benjamin Kwofie , skipper Emmanuel Ankomah and the Akaba brothers, Elikem and Elorm will not only electrify the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium  but will also  cause  Police Men to call for reinforcement  to be in the position to contain the menace of the defending champions.

Another match likely to attract attention would be the encounter between Reformers Men and Legonites. After their heavy defeat against Exchequers, Legonites may vary their game against Reformers to   win the hearts of the fans .

The Masters game will see Sapholda and Golden Sticks stretching each other to gain the maximum points just as will happen in the encounter between  Multistix and Financiers.

New entrants, Accra Academy who lost 1-6 to Young Financiers will have to work hard before they can contain the venom of Tema Manhean , but Real Ambassadors will prove too strong for Young Financiers.
