Ghana's team at the ongoing All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) are hopeful of finishing in the top ten of the 18-nation competition being staged at the Achimota Golf Club in Accra.
Felicity Gyeaboah, Constance Awuni and Jessica Tei told Graphic Sports Online that they were facing professionals and much more experienced teams, hence finishing in the top ten would be a great achievement.
The amateur trio who placed third in the opening rounds currently lie sixth and hope to maintain that position or better their lot in the final rounds tomorrow (Friday).
Gyeaboah was satisfied with the course and her form.
"I think it has been very interesting and challenging and I'm enjoying the moment" , she stated.
She appealed for sponsorship for the team to transition into full professionals.
Tei and Awuni re-echoed their mate's views, saying they would do their best to ensure Ghana's name stood among the best participants.
"We will do our best; we are going to fight until the end and perform to our utmost best", Awuni assured.
Meanwhile, South Africa tops with a score of 308, followed by Tanzania with 323 points, Kenya 324 points, while Uganda are fourth with 326 points.
The competition ends tomorrow with awards and prizes to the deserving winners.
