Ghana’s Ezekiel “Zggy” Ansah is expected to organise his third annual football camp at the University of Ghana main pitch on June 29 in Accra.
The camp which is aimed at unearthing and nurturing talents for the future will see hundreds of senior high school students nationwide partaking as they go through a number of drills and trainings in playing American football.
Accrding to the organizers, the main reason for organising this annual programme is to promote healthy living, physical education and also demonstrating the discipline to work efficiently towards one’s achievement.
The ex Detroit Lions Pro Bowl rusher, who joined the Seattle Seahawks on a year contract, believes this year’s football camp will be much greater than the previous years.
“This is one thing I have really been passionate about. Growing up, I never had anybody coming to Ghana to do a football camp for me. But it is something I learnt in the states, it has been great so far. I am looking forward to making it even bigger and better than the previous years,” he said.
Throughout the years, the defensive end player has given back to the society and continues to extend it even more to the deprived people through the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation, a non-profit organization that strongly believes that with the right support and opportunity, the youth could be helped realize their dreams.
