Tema-based Halifax Ladies will be looking forward to continuing their winning-spree on Sunday when they come face to face with Samaria Ladies at the ATTC Park in their Week Five fixture of the Normalisation Committee Women's Special Competition.

The last time the two sides met at the Team Community Three Park in a Week Two fixture, Halifax ran away with all three points after recording a 1-0 victory.

Halifax, handled by Black Stars assistant coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoe, have been phenomenal in the competition so far, winning three out of four matches to be tied on nine points with Police Ladies at the summit of  the Group D table.

The youthful team started the competition with a 1-0 loss to Police Ladies but returned stronger in subsequent games as they defeated Samaria Ladies 1-0 in their Week Two fixture, won 2-1 against Immigration and battered Police Ladies 3-1 during their Week Four game.

And to get the job done on Sunday away from home, Coach Mercy Tagoe will surely line-up free-scoring striker Ernestina Tetteh, who is gradually becoming a torn in the flesh of defenders as well as swift dribbling Constance Serwaa Agyeiwaa. Black Maiden goalkeeper Grace Banwaa will manage the post as usual to deny the homers from stealing the show.

Referee Rita .B. Nkansah will officiate the match. She will be assisted by Esther. A. Detse, Cynthia Mensah and Cynthia Anafo.

In the other Group D match, a resurgent Immigration Ladies, who recorded their first win in the competition last Wednesday, will seek to pick their second consecutive win when they host Police Ladies at the Saint Thomas Aquinas School Park on Sunday.

Matches between the two security services team often ignite passions and generate some fireworks considering their strength and the rivalry between them.

Police who suffered their first defeat last Wednesday will seek to make amends while Immigration will adopt every available tactics to win or pick a point to improve their chances of qualifying to the quarter-finals.
