The Executive Chairman of Dreams FC, Mr Kurt E S Okraku has congratulated Kumasi Asante Kotoko for their exploits in the CAF Confederation Cup despite their defeat to ZESCO United on Sunday.
Mr Okraku also pleaded with the leadership to continue to invest in the existing squad.
The former Ghana FA Executive Committee member believes that despite their inability to progress to the quarter finals of the competition, the Porcupine Warriors must be hailed for their achievement in a short period.
Mr Okraku, who is described by many as the epitome of professionalism in Ghana football is convinced that if the current squad is kept together, with a few additions, the club stands a good future.
Kurt who appeared to be speaking to Dr. Kwame Kyei on phone moments after the game remains optimistic that Kotoko will be a force to reckon with on the continent if they remain consistent.
“I congratulate the entire team for their achievement. Honestly, not many people thought they could do what they have done,” he told FootballMadeInGhana.com.
“I, however, believe that if they invest in this squad with the appropriate structures and technical direction, they will be a stronger force to reckon with on the continent.”
He also advised the Dr. Kyei-led management not to undertake any panic measures to crumble what they have started building.
“What the leadership will need is patience. They must not take any decision in a rush. They have started well and if they are patiently allow the team to develop, it will help them,” he added.
Asante Kotoko kicked out Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks in the round one before dealing with Coton Sport Garoua of Cameroon to enter the group stage where they picked seven points from six games.
