Newly-appointed Aduana Stars coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, has turned his focus on their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign against Congolese side, Vita Club.
The July 18 clash at Dormaa-Ahenkro will be Kenichi's first major assignment since joining the Ghana champions on July 11, and it is a big test as well for Aduana who need a win to revive their continental campaign as they are without a win after two games.
Hours after replacing Yusif Abubakar as head coach of the 'Ogya' side, the 49-year-old Japanese trainer got down to business as he took his new team through afternoon training in preparation for the Vita Club encounter.
In a tweet after his first training session, Kenichi said he was looking forward to preparing the team adequately to win against Vita Club.
"Arrived to Dormaa and started the 1st training with Aduana Stars FC today. It was very difficult because of the very long flights. There is extremely limited time left before next CAF Confederation match, but we will do our best," Kenichi tweeted.
Aduana are placed bottom of Group A of the Confederation Cup with a point from two games while Vita Club lead the log with four points.
