Dreams FC give back to society to mark 10th anniversary

Management of Dreams FC on Friday donated GH₵5,000 to the leadership of the Al-Muntada Al Islamiya Ghana Mosque at Ashaley Botwe in Accra.

The gesture which forms part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the club was to support an ongoing building project at the Mosque.

Presenting the cash, Community Relations Officer of the club, Alhaji Cliff noted that the gesture was meant to give back to society, especially support the communities that have influenced the growth of the club.

“This is where we started and obviously we have to turn back and support the community. As part of our efforts to support the community, we make this cash donation of ₵5000 to support the mosque project,” he said.

For his part, the Acting Chief Imam of the Ashaley Botwe Central Mosque, Uztaz Sidi thanked the leadership of Dreams FC and wished them well in their sporting activities.

“We are always proud of this club and we keep praying for the best for u. We appreciate this gesture and pray that Allah rewards you abundantly, Mr Uztaz Sidi said.

“Unity and patience are the key elements that keeps a group going and we pray Allah gives you that,” he added.

The event was crowned with a football match between the current Dreams FC side and their foreign-based players.

Dreams FC trace their roots to the Ashaley Botwe Community where the club was formed in 2009 ahead of their participation in the Division Two League before they relocated to their current home ground at Dawu.

Management of the club have maintained a cordial relationship with the indigenous communities with Maamobi being one of such communities that have benefited immensely from the philanthropic works of the club.
