Coach of Zesco United, George Lwandamina is disappointed by the poor finishing of his attackers during their Confederation Cup game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday.

He believes if his side had been clinical, ZESCO would have carried the day considering the number of chances they created during the game.

The coach who was worried by how his attackers fumbled in front of Kotoko's goal area expressed his frustration during the post match interview and also blamed their defeat to the mistakes by his defenders.

“I know they have won the game but if we were lucky to have scored the chances we created we would have won the game away from home.

“It’s true we lost the game because we made few mistakes at the defence which they capitalised on it, but we coordinated the game well,” he noted.

Two first half goals by Kwame Bonsu and Emmanuel Gyamfi ensured that Kotoko defeated ZESCO United by 2-1 to record their first win in the group stages of the competition. Rahim Osumanu gave ZESCO their consolation goal in the 73rd minute.

All the teams in Group C now have three points; however, Kotoko lies third on the table due to the goal difference.

Kotoko will travel to Zambia to meet Nkana FC for their third group game on Sunday, February 24.
