Head Coach of Al Hilal Nabil Kouki has expressed confidence in his team to beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their own backyard in their penultimate CAF Confederation Cup Group C game to be played on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Saturday, Coach Kouki noted that his team was well equipped to lash the Porcupine Warriors in their own backyard.
“We did not have much time to prepare because of the trip. Asante Kokoto is a great club but we are here to win. We are not afraid of the game. I know Kotoko because I was a player in Tunisia for Club Africain and the Tunisian National team,” he said.
“It will be a big game tomorrow but we have not come here to settle for a draw, we are here to win it,” he added.
Since he was appointed about three weeks ago, the Tunisian trainer is unbeaten away in the ongoing continental competition.
The 49-year-old coach replaced Irad Zaafouri who was sacked after the team’s 2-1 loss to Nkana FC in their second Group C game.
He is making a return to the club he led to reach the semi-final of the 2015/2016 CAF Champions League season.
Hilal are placed on the summit of group table with seven points from four games.
