Volunteers wanted for Women’s AFCON

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) has announced that volunteer application forms are available for persons who want to work as volunteers for the 11th Total Women's Africa Cup of Nations which kicks off on Saturday, November 17 to Saturday, December 1, 2018.

According to the LOC, the available volunteer positions include media assistants, security assistants, administrative support assistants, liasons, magnetometer assistants and medical assistants.

These volunteers will serve at the various job venues and positions in the two host cities of Accra and Cape Coast.

A statement signed by the LOC's  Volunteers Coordinator, Ian Osei Owusu, said over 200 Ghanaians will be given the opportunity to offer their services to the nation free of charge during the tournament.

The LOC also stated that all applicants will go through screening after which the successful applicants will undergo training.

"All applicants will be screened and shortlised before a final selection. All selected persons will be contacted and the list made available on the tournament website. All selected applicants will undergo training and duly outfitted to serve at the tournament", it added.
