Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named the 2018 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Egypt's Salah, 26, beat Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane of Senegal and Arsenal and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

He received the award at a ceremony in Senegal's capital of Dakar on Tuesday night.

Houston Dash and South Africa forward Thembi Kgatlana was named Women's Player of the Year.
