The Central Region Football Association has elected Robert Otieku Duncan as the new chairman by popular acclamation to stair the affairs of football in the region for the next four years.
Mr Duncan, founder of Soccer Intellectuals Football Club, won the elections which took place at the Cape Coast Stadium on Friday, October 18.
Having gone unopposed in the election, 63 delegates out of 75 present at the congress approved his candidature to lead them in the region.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) elections were scheduled for Friday, October 18 with the various Regional Football Associations (RFA) set to elect their leaders to administer the running of football in the various regions.
The election is being held across the various regions in the country ahead of the Presidential election slated for October 25.
