Queens call on Northern Regional Minister

The senior national women's team, Black Queens on Friday paid a courtesy call on the Northern Regional Minster Hon. Salifu Sa-eed as part of their nationwide training tour.

Mr Sa-eed who received the Queens and their technical handlers at his office pledged his support to ensure they succeed in their upcoming continental assignment.

The Queens have been touring the country where they have been playing series of friendly matches as part of their preparation for the upcoming Africa Women’s Cup of Nations to be hosted by Ghana from November 17 to December 1.

The team earlier toured the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Regions where they played four friendly matches against Kumasi Sports Academy, Kumasi select side, Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Prisons Ladies and they are currently in the Northern Region.

They are expected to play two more friendly matches before returning to Accra to continue their preparations.
