Some European based Ghanaian players played influential roles for their various clubs as the league returned from international break over the weekend.
Notable among them was left-full back, Kwadwo Asamoah who played the full throttle for his club in their 3-0 win against Frosinone.
Majeed Waris came from the bench to score on the stroke of full time to help rescue a point for his side, Nantes during their 1-1 drawn against Angers.
In the English Premier league, Ghanaian teammates Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp were both introduced from the bench to help during Crystal Palace’s game against Manchester United which ended goalless draw at the old Trafford.
Albert Adomah saw 65 minutes of action during Aston Villa’s 4-2 win over Birmingham City while Andy Yiadom warmed the bench for Reading during their goalless draw game against Wigan Athletic.
Coach Diego Simeone kept Thomas Partey on the bench as his team Atletico held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw game.
Emmanuel Boateng was once against enterprising for Lavente as he came of the bench in the 69th minutes to provide the match needed equaliser in his team’s 2-2 draw against SD Huesca. Raphael Dwamena was an unused substitute for his side.
Mubarak Wakaso was an unused substitute in Lavente’s away game against Laganes. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Laganese.

Alfred Duncan play 78 minutes while Kevin Prince Boateng was substituted after 60 minutes during their 1-2 loss to Parma. Emmanuel Besea was an unused substitute.

Bernard Kumordzi lasted the entire duration for Kortrijk as they won 2-1 against Oostende, Likewise Nana Kwesi Asare who lasted full time for Gent against Daniel Opare and William Owusu’s Royal Antwerp. Opare played the full duration, while Owusu was introduced in the 72nd minute in goalless drawn game.
Samuel Asamoah started and lasted the entire duration for St.Truiden in their 4-2 victory against RSC Anderlecht.
