Second tier club, Accra Great Olympics, have struck a sponsorship deal with Portuguese kit manufacturer, Strike.
The deal which was brokered by Club Consult Africa will see the kit manufacturer clothing the ‘Wonder Club’ for the next three years.
A statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Oloboi Commodore, said “the partnership forms part of the club’s rebranding efforts to amplify the fans connection with the club and a sense of identity in achieving collective successes”.
The Accra-based club which was relegated about three seasons ago will start the new season with new kit under the brand of the sponsor, Strike.
The CEO described the kit manufacturers as an emerging brand with a track record in various parts of the world, adding that they are “Kitting professional football clubs and national teams in Africa, Asia and the Pacific regions.
Commodore assured fans of the club that the shirt was making a huge comeback and some of their designs would be inspired by their previous shirts they used during the 1980s and 1990s.
“For Oly Dade fans, the good news is, the classic Olympics shirt is making a comeback ahead of the new football season. The new kit feature bespoke designs as pertained to the early 80s and the late 90s”, the statement said.
