Aduana Stars’ top marksman, Yahaya Mohammed, and Adebayor Zakar Victorien Adje of Inter Allies, have registered eight goals each to jointly lead the goal king chart of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League  (GPL) after week 9.

The Nigerien international scored his eighth goal of the season from a spot kick against Legon Cities in their 1-1 draw in week 9 of the GPL at the Accra Stadium.

Mohammed, who won the player of the month award for January last week, failed to score against Hearts of Oak last Sunday at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.

However, he is still a hot contender for the top scorer award with his eight goals, the last of which was a consolation in his side’s 1-3 loss to Ebusua Dwarfs in week nine of the GPL.

Medeama’s Prince Opoku Agyeman and Prince Adu Kwabena of Bechem United share the third position with six goals each.
Opoku Agyeman grabbed his sixth goal for Medeama against Karela United in their local derby last Sunday but Prince Adu Kwabena failed to score against Dwarfs.

Also, Ibrahim Osman of King Faisal and Elmina Sharks’ Benjamin Bernard Boateng have five goals apiece to settle for the fifth and sixth places.

Elvis Kyei Baffour of Liberty has four goals, while Abubakari Seidu (Dwarfs), Samuel Armah (Inter Allies) and Mustapha Mohammed (King Faisal) have scored three goals each in the competitive GPL campaign.
