Zambia U-17 national team captain Miguel Chaiwa has described winning the 2019 COSAFA U17 Championship as a great feeling.
Chaiwa was also quick to give credit to the Oswald Mutapa led technical bench for the hard work they put in to drill the team and guide them to win silverware.
“I would like to thank God for the wonderful talent and trophy which he has given to us. And also want to thank our hardworking Technical bench, they have been advising us to continue with the same spirit,” he said
“Winning a trophy feels great and it’s an inspiration to other guys who would want to play for the National Team."
“I would also want to appreciate our opponents they did well in the first half though they lost concentration in the second half."
“We have been training hard since May, and this was the time for us to showcase our talents,” he added.
Two second-half goals from Rickson Ng'ambi and Joseph Banda were enough to hand Zambia victory winning their second title in three years.
