Ghanaian midfielder, Majeed Ashimeru, says he is ready to repay the faith placed in him by Red Bull Salzburg after extending his contract with the club until 2024.
The Austrian side extended the Ghana international’s contract with Red Bull Salzburg by five years after he was recalled from his loan at Swiss side, St Gallen.
The 21-year-old noted that he was looking forward to the upcoming season as he looked to contribute to the club’s success.
Speaking after his contract extension, Ashimeru said ''I ‘m very happy to be in Salzburg now, and I am looking forward to the season ahead. I want to help contribute to us playing good and successful football”.
''I have to thank the club for the great faith they have placed in me, and I will do everything I can to pay this back,” he added
Ashimeru joined Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2017 and was immediately loaned out to Austria Lustenau.
He was however loaned out to RZ Pellets WAC for the second half of the season six months after playing for Austria Lustenau.
The former WAFA midfielder moved to the Swiss Super League on loan where he netted four goals and provided ten assists for St Gallen.
