Asante Kotoko have been drawn against Cote d’Ivoire football club, San-Pedro, in the final round playoff of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The two-leg competition would see the Ghanaian club host the Ivorian side on October 27 with the return leg scheduled for November 3.
The draw, which took place in Cairo, Egypt, yesterday, was to create room for teams that failed to progress in the CAF Champions League and had to play in the second tier continental club competition.
The Porcupine Warriors were eliminated on a 3-2 aggregate by Etoile du Sahel in the CAF Champions League but the Reds have another chance to make it to the group stages of a second tier continental competition.
Victory for Kotoko will send them and 15 other victorious teams to the group stages of the Confederation Cup.
The 16 teams that dropped from the CAF Champions League were paired against the other 16 teams that progressed from the second round of the Confederation Cup.
