Kumasi Asante Kotoko have secured the services of Augustine Okrah to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2019/20 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League, which starts next month.
The attacker rejoins the Porcupine Warriors after a brief stint with them before travelling to play in Sudan.
Augustine Okrah’s addition to the Kotoko squad comes as a boost as the former Bechem United playmaker has gained immense experience, having played for CAF inter-club competition campaigners, Al Merreikh, and Al Hilal of Sudan.
Kotoko’s Accra representative, Edmund Ackah, confirmed the signing of Okrah late Tuesday, indicating that the necessary documentation for the player’s recruitment and registration had all been duly procured and worked on.
Okrah won the top scorer award in the 2013-14 season of the First Capital Plus Ghana Premier League after scoring 16 goals.
The player was spotted at the club's secretariat, donning the famous red jersey and was full of smiles and brimming with confidence as he prepared to join his teammates to prepare for the CAF Champions League away fixture against Kano Pillars on the weekend of August 9 to 11.
