Players of Kotoko arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

Kumasi Asante Kotoko arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport poised for battle against their Kenyan counterparts, Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday.

They were immediately transported to the the plush City Lodge Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya where players and officials are expected to catch some rest before training activities would follow soon.

The team departed the country on Tuesday to acclamatise ahead of the clash and pictures shared on the clubs tweeter handle indicated the team was ready for the game.

Prior to their departure, the Porcupine Warriors beat the national under-23 team, 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Kotoko would open their Confederation Cup campaign against the Kenyans having reached this stage without kicking a ball.

Coach C.K Akonnor is optimistic their preparation ahead of the game is good enough to earn them victory over the Kenyans and reduce the return leg to a mere formality.
