Juan Mata is reportedly on the brink of signing a new contract to stay at Manchester United.
The 31-year-old's current contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the month but Mata could now stay at the club following lengthy discussions over a new deal, according to The Mirror.
Talks have been ongoing between Mata and United over an extension but both parties have so far been unable to agree on terms over a new contract.
Mata reportedly earns £140,000 a week with the Red Devils and has attracted interest from the likes of Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Newcastle.
The midfielder joined United in 2014 for £37million following a successful spell at Chelsea.
In the past couple of years, Mata has struggled to secure regular minutes and featured in nine Premier League games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.
