Ghana coach James Kwasi Appiah believes John Boye’s absence will not in anyway affect the Black Stars in their second Group F fixture against Cameroun on Saturday.

The Metz  FC center back received the marching orders in their opening game against Benin on Tuesday which rules him out of the Cameroun clash.

Boye, the only player to have received a red card so far in this tournament, will be replaced with either Joseph Aidoo, Joseph Attamah Larweh or Jonathan Mensah who are the three options left for Coach Kwesi Appiah.

“Unfortunately John Boye cannot be part of the team but we have five other central defenders so it should not be a problem,” Kwesi Appiah told the press ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Ghana were surprisingly held to a 2-2 draw by Benin while Cameroun beat Guinea Bissau 2-0 in their opening game.

A win over Cameroun tomorrow will set the pace for the Black Stars to progress to the next stage and put their quest to win the trophy on cause.
