Lumor Agbenyenu hit by injury during Black Stars training

Black Stars left-back Lumor Agbenyenu has been ruled out of Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa on Thursday.

The defender joins a growing list of players who have been injured within this short period which also include Mubarak Wakaso, Harrison Afful and Salisu Mohammed.

The Real Mallorca player was confirmed to have torn a muscle after a scan in Accra and has subsequently been released to fly out to Spain for further checks and treatment.

The latest injury situation could force the Ghanaian trainer to tinker with his plans as he has been forced to hand a late call up to Joseph Attamah Larweh.

Larweh who plays for Caykur Rizespor is reported to have already trained with the Black Stars and could be in the team for the game against South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Meanwhile SC Paderborn player, Christopher Antwi-Adjei is reported to have arrived in the country after the delay in processing his documentation to enable him arrive on time to be part of the team.

The German-born Ghanaian player might be available for selection in Thursday's game due to his late arrival in camp but could be part of Ghana's game against Sao Tome and Principe on Monday.
