Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville have offered their hotel facility close to Old Trafford to the club to prevent them being caught in traffic during Champions League home games.
The facility which the duo co-owns sits right next-door to Old Trafford
Following the team’s embarrassment during their Champions League games against Valencia and Juventus at Old Trafford, Manchester United are investigating a number of options to keep the team to avoid future embarrassment.
The club was stuck in traffic just before they engaged Valencia at Old Trafford, causing manager Jose Mourinho to get out from the team’s bus and walk, and the team arrived at the ground about an hour before kick-off.
"We've always said we would welcome the team," said Giggs, who spent his entire playing career at United.
"I had it when I was a player and when I was a coach at United. Getting to the evening games can be difficult, getting out the city center is a nightmare," Giggs said of the city's traffic.
"But obviously you don't have that trouble when you're 50 yards away."You can walk."
United were fined by UEFA for causing a late kick-off against Valencia.Subsequently, the club switched to a closer hotel near the Old Trafford cricket ground for the Juventus game.
"We're right on the doorstep at Old Trafford, so it would be great if the club can stay and we've always said that." Giggs told Sky Sports News.
United's next Champions League home game is against Swiss side Young Boys on November 27
