The Black Stars of Ghana have been seeded in Pot 1 for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Black Stars will begin another journey towards making their 23rd appearance at the AFCON facing the likes of Cameroon, Cote d’ Ivoire, Egypt, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, DR Congo, Senegal and Tunisia in the qualifiers.
Ghana, four time Africa champions will be looking for an opportunity to better their performance after a disappointing campaign in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Pot 2 comprises Benin, Cape Verde, Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Kenya, Libya, Mauritania, Niger, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia.
Angola, Central Africa Republic, Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Sierra Leon, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo and Zimbabwe make up Pot 3.
Burundi, Botswana, Comoros, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Lesotho and Rwanda have been drawn in Pot 5 with Pot 6 being the least ranked sides in Africa made up of Chad, Djibouti, Gambia, Liberia, Mauritius, Sao Tome and Principe, Seychelles and South Sudan.
